How exciting that the Just Cross Stitch Halloween issue is out! And how sad that I haven't seen it in person yet. 🙁
I've received several emails lately from stitchers wanting to know if they should "stitch the pumpkin to the right of the cart." Unfortunately, I'm not sure what pumpkin you mean, but I don't believe there is supposed to be a pumpkin next to the cart… I stitched the model myself, so just use the model photo as a reference! 🙂

I've been doing quite a bit of designing lately, and have lots of ideas for new samplers – although Mom keeps reminding me, "Honey, I need a more traditional sampler. Please. You're overdue. And make it red. But if you don't want to do it in red, then that's fine too. But I need a more traditional sampler. And btw, when you submit a new photo to JCS this year, make it a good one."

I suddenly remembered her saying something similar about my elementary school pictures I proudly brought home.
Anyway, as some of you may know, I had the honor of being in the Just Cross Stitch January/February issue this year. The editor sent me a few magazines to give away, but so far I haven't had any takers, besides my mom. (Okay, fine, she was thrilled.) So if there are a couple of you who would be interested, I have two to give away.
There are some sweet designs inside, including one by Praiseworthy Stitches called Winter at Beacon House (pictured in the middle). Mine is called Winter Wind Sampler (on the right).

I'm shocked at how many of you didn't have the Just Cross Stitch issues! I would have thought that only a few people would have wanted them! (Don't worry, Breanna, you won't be getting the ornament issues in your stocking after all.)

I recently received in the mail 3 issues each of the Halloween and Christmas ornament issues of Just Cross Stitch magazine from their very sweet editor. However, I had already purchased my issues when they were first released, so now I have 3 copies of each that I'd love to give away.
I'm sure those of you who wanted the issues have already purchased them, but just in case there are a few of you who haven't, just leave a comment here about which issue you'd like, and I'll draw names from there. If there are only a few of you, perfect! We'll draw the first ones in line. And if there is not a single soul out there who hasn't already gotten the issue they wanted, then I'll give the magazines as Christmas presents to my family. teeheehee.

Sophie designed the gate, and I included a pineapple bc it's a symbol for hospitality – and bc my mom likes them. 🙂
