    Out of the Bag.

    Here's a sneak peek at Olga…

    Olga tp 2

She's an odd-looking feline (I've always liked odd), stitched with Crescent Colours and 36 ct. Vintage Tarnished Silver by Lakeside Linens. I'm not sure of the release date yet, as the chart hasn't even been written up, but I'm looking at very early June.

    I hope you like her!

    Colonial Love

I'll be without a computer for a few days bc my hard drive is about to crash and burn (keep getting those nasty warnings), but before I call Breanna's computer friend to come to the rescue, I thought I'd hop on here and show you what I got back from Jill Rensel Art Studio a couple of weeks ago.

I can't remember off the top of my head what this pattern is called, but I do know that it's by The Goode Huswife, and I'll soon be stitching his companion to go along with him…

As you can see, I've still got the cardboard backing on it and no glass yet.. I just haven't had the time to mount it and get it all finished! I'll plan on doing that this week so I can finally hang it up.

    Isn't Jill the best?? 🙂

Keep your fingers crossed that my poor workhorse of a pc is an easy fix. If it is, then I'll see you soon!

    My Happy Place

My computer is about 10 steps from my stitching spot on the couch, which is situated right in front of a large living room window. A few days ago I looked up from whatever I was doing at the computer and noticed how lovely the tree outside was, silhouetted through the window covering.

It was about 6:00 in the evening, and I loved the soft glow. I was almost tempted to go work on the model that was sitting – all tossed aside – on the arm of the couch! (Yes, that is an orange highlighter on the end table… I definitely need it for this chart.)

Today we're heading to Kansas to visit K-State with Sabrina. She's going to check out their pre-vet program, and we'll also be tending to some things around my in-laws' house. I'll be taking that model with me, although I'm not sure how much I'll get done on it!

Before I leave though, here's a picture Sophie took of me with my new hair-do. Or my hair-don't, as my mother would say. I'm not actually that hunched over yet – I was bent down at that moment!

    Enjoy your weekend!

    Finishes!

Here are some photos of the lovely finished pieces that some of you have been sweet enough to show to me! I love seeing them, and I'm just sorry it's taken me so long to post them – I also think I may be missing a few pictures, bc I have so many folders on my computer that I drop things into, and I imagine some of them may have ended up in the wrong place?

The first one here is from Patty… it's the freebie "Hares' Visit." Beautiful stitching, Patty! 🙂

And here we have Marie-Odile's "J is for Jacob." Great job! Are you excited for Eclipse to come out?

Next up is Sylvia's "Be True" freebie… You did a wonderful job on it, and I'm really smitten with that little cat. 🙂

And from one of the sweetest people I "know," here is Faye's "Hares' Lucky Day."  I love it, Faye!!

    FayesLuckyDay

This is Nancy's version of "Hares' Lucky Day," and the vintage lace she used for the trim is gorgeous… I wish I could find some, bc I'd use it for everything! I have some very old tatting my great-grandmother made, but I just can't bear to sew it onto anything. Anyway, thank you, Nancy!

    Btw, here's my great-grandmother's tatting…

I love this finish by Nicole! This is her "Hares' Fathers Day."

    Nicole

I'm honored that my very-first-ever-cyber-friend, Chris, even finished one! I've been begging her to get a blog for some time now, bc she has such an eye for vignettes and color. Here is her "Be True" finish – stitched over one, along with another stitched piece (Blackbird Designs?) that I absolutely love. (And don't be surprised if eventually you see a model photo of mine with lots and lots of buttons in it.. I just love that idea!)

And lastly, I wanted to show you this amazing hooked rug by Mel… She took the "Hares' Easter Blessings" freebie and had it converted for hooking!  I love it and can't wait until she's finished!

Thank you all so much for sending your photos to me.. I enjoy each and every one of them! Again, if you've sent me something and somehow I've missed it, I sincerely apologize.

I hope you've had a chance to take a look at The Needlework Show site!
