Recently I came out of shoe-painting retirement only briefly, when Breanna gave me a pouty face and handed me a new pair of white canvas shoes. Grr.
Here they were after I finished all the doodling:
And 5 hours later, the finished pair:
One shoe tongue says "You lift me up."
And the other says "You smell nice."
One of Bre's favorite things to say is, "Sorry 'bout it! Hope you're not, like, mad about it!" So I incorporated that as well…
I've gone back into retirement now.
(Although Sophie has been giving me the pouty face whenever Bre wears her shoes.)
P.S. Bre wore her first pair so often, they turned black!

Hey, Paulette, lost your mailing address to send my shoes for you to paint….. 🙂 What was it????

If I send a pair of shoes, and a return mailing envelope, and a photo of me making a pouty face, can I have a pair too? My mom and I tried making a plaid hat, and it was a DISASTER! We used permanent markers, and when I sweated, the markers bled, and even dyed my forehead. And the colors were obnoxious to say the least. We’re NOT artistic. We depend on ppl like YOU! So, can I, can I, can I, pretty please? 🙂 (I’m totally not joking, either) But those shoes rock. I think Sophie needs a pair. Next A she makes or something, or for July 4th. She deserves a pair! B/c you’re awesome like that!

I think those are the ugliest shoes I have ever seen..NOT!!!!! See… here’s me making a pouty face 🙁 don’t you feel guilty? What was that you said? OMG..potty mouth!!!! LOL!! You could be so rich selling painted shoes….and they are faster then stitching models right? I have a great pair of TOMS that could use painting any time you are ready…. I’m just sayin’
Pouty Connie 🙁
